Services

Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs) provide non-medical care and supervision for adults aged 60 and over who need help with daily living activities but do not require 24-hour skilled nursing care.

Core services offered by RCFEs typically include:

​

  • Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): This includes help with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and transferring/ambulation (walking and moving).

  • Meals and Snacks: Facilities provide three nutritious meals per day plus snacks, often with the ability to accommodate special dietary needs.

  • Supervision and Safety: Staff are on-site 24/7 to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, including supervision to all residents specially for residents with dementia. Night Staff are on call.

  • Medication Management: Staff can assist residents with medications, which typically involves ordering, storing and dispensing meds.

  • Private Caregiver: Able to arrange and schedule a one on one care or private caregiver if needed.

  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Regular housekeeping services and laundry are provided.

  • Social and Activities: RCFE offer a calendar of planned events that promote social engagement.

  • Arrangement for Incidental Medical Care: While RCFE staff do not provide ongoing medical care, they can arrange for residents to access medical providers such as House Call Doctors or contract with home health or hospice agencies for in-facility services if needed.
